Purchasing Power Is “Fueling Financial Wellness @Work” This Summer

We’re taking to the road in June for the 17-state, “Fueling Financial Wellness @Work” bus tour. Launching in Atlanta, the tour is targeting eight key cities in the Eastern U.S. to stress the importance of employee financial education and empowerment at the workplace. In addition to spotlighting our robust platform of free financial tools and services for registered participants, we’ll be presenting personal finance seminars from author and financial wellness expert, Alok Deshpande of SmartPath Financial Education.

Throughout the month of June, the 45-foot custom-wrapped “Fueling Financial Wellness @Work” executive coach will make scheduled stops in Charlotte, NC; Washington, DC; Harrisburg, PA; Minneapolis; Cincinnati; Louisville, KY; Nashville; and New Orleans. The visits will be a combination of drive-through appointments and community festivals; client headquarter visits; employee personal finance seminars by Deshpande; and an appearance at the SHRM annual conference in New Orleans.

Purchasing Power is also sponsoring the “Financial Wellness @Work” Sweepstakes to encourage participation with our online financial wellness platform introduced last year. The Sweepstakes is open to any current Purchasing Power customer as well as anyone who is eligible to participate via their company/association. Prizes are four items available through our employee purchase program – a 7-day Carnival Magic Caribbean cruise for two; an Apple MacBook Pro; a 55” Sony 4K Smart LED Ultra HDTV and a $500 designer/fashion shopping spree on purchasingpower.com.

For every entry, we will make a financial contribution to Junior Achievement™, the award-winning, nationally recognized non-profit organization created to prepare today’s youth for tomorrow’s economy. Purchasing Power has been a longtime supporter of Junior Achievement, whose learning models are focused on career readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Introduced in 2016, our financial wellness platform being showcased on the tour is a collection of free tools and services designed to provide practical support in managing personal finances, improving credit scores, creating a living budget and planning realistic goals for the future.
