New MFT System Provides Extra Layer of Security

Protecting customer data is paramount at Purchasing Power. Consequently, it’s important for us to make regular updates to our systems and processes to stay ahead of any potential threats.

To ensure our data security remains best-in-class, we are migrating to a new Managed File Transfer (MFT) system. This system provides an extra layer of security by providing an external firewall and the internet protocols (IP) address to secure connectivity and account access.

Unrecognized IP addresses will be unable to access the server.

All parties who provide or receive files from Purchasing Power using FTP, SFTP or HTTPS will need to be migrated. This includes brokers and TPAs who are processing files on behalf of a client. The migration will take place over the next 30-60 days, and we expect all clients to be migrated by July 1, 2015.

Your Purchasing Power support team (Client Services and Account Management) will follow up with your clients with more specific instructions.
