By the Numbers: Holiday Sales Recap

Our 2016 Holiday Season proved to be the best ever as a record number of customers were served. Regardless of customers’ preference, we were there for them wherever, whenever and however they wanted to engage. Mobile traffic numbers met or exceeded the increased levels seen across the broader e-commerce industry.

Through our employee purchase program, customers were able to make the holiday purchases they wanted using a smart, financially-responsible buying method. Our program empowers  employees, helping to relieve some financial stress and allow them to be more productive at work.

Here’s Holiday Season 2016 by the numbers:

  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday orders increased by 13%;
  • Cyber Monday purchases rose 26 percent, outpacing overall e-commerce growth of 17%;
  • Green Monday grew 22%, also outpacing overall e-commerce growth of 15%; and
  • Mobile shopping hit a season high on Christmas Day as over 77% of all site traffic came from a mobile device.
